Lawrence Bate, Director of Sales & Marketing at Barchester Healthcare is raising money for Barchester’s Charitable Foundation and Water Aid by running the route of Hadrian’s Wall from Carlisle to Gateshead on Saturday 18th June. The route is just over 100 km and runs literally from one side of the country to the other.
Having completed the London Marathon as a part of his warm up, Lawrence is now excited about this very gruelling challenge and comments: “I’ll be starting bright and early on Saturday 18th June and I’m hoping to reach Gateshead in less than 12 hours, but what will provide the extra incentive to keep going is the thought of raising money for two very worthy charities:
our own Barchester’s Charitable Foundation http://www.bhcfoundation.org.uk/ which helps older people and adults living with a disability across the country, combatting loneliness and social isolation by helping them connect with others in their local community.
Water Aid http://www.wateraid.org/uk which aims to transform the lives of many thousands of the poorest people across the world by providing them with access to safe water and sanitation, something that’s far too easy for us all to take for granted.”
Lawrence is aiming to raise at least £2,000 and if you would like to sponsor Lawrence please follow this link:
Good luck Lawrence!
