We recently provided funding for a mobility scooter for Tommy in Dumfries. Tommy is 64 and had a leg amputation two years ago. Tommy continues to have issues with his other leg, and the continuing worry that this may need to be amputated at some point. Obviously this is a terrible reality to be living with; however, he can now see a future where he remains independent.
Tommy comments: “Everyone has admired my new scooter and say that it is the bee’s knees. I was confined to the house Monday – Friday, and your grant has given me my life back. I am a much happier person. My independence means so much to me and I thank all at Barchester’s Charitable Foundation for everything you have done for me”.
