Natalia is thrilled

Natalia, 30, from Birmingham has Emery Dreifuss Muscular Dystrophy, which is a rare muscle wasting condition.

Together with two other charities we helped fund her new electric wheelchair. This has made an immense difference to Natalia, who can now go out independently, which wasn’t possible before. She also now enjoy long walks with her husband, and can even make him run.

“When my wheelchair came through, I was thrilled! I could not believe what a difference it made to me on a day to day basis and how much easier it has made my life. I use this wheelchair pretty much every day and it has made a massive difference to my energy levels as well, as I no longer have to expend energy either attempting to walk or asking someone to push me around in a manual wheelchair.

Words cannot express how much this wheelchair has changed my life and how I interact with others. I am so pleased I was able to receive this grant, without it, I would not have been able to afford the wheelchair.”
