On 28th February, a team of eight care home workers from Barchester Healthcare’s Chester Court care home in Bedlington tackled a 15-mile hike to raise money for Barchester’s Charitable Foundation.
Laura Tindle is normally the General Manager at Chester Court, but on the last day of February she donned her walking boots and led her team using sheer grit and determination on a 15-mile hike from sister home Bedewell Grange in Hebburn back to Chester Court in Bedlington, in order to raise funds for Barchester’s Charitable Foundation.
No strangers to a charity challenge, the team at Chester Court had both been training hard and also succeeded in raising a fantastic £400.
Laura commented: “I absolutely love walking and taking on challenges like this, we’re grateful to all the staff, residents and relatives at Chester Court who were behind us. Their support along with all the money we had raised helped us go the distance!”
