On August 3rd, Reji Joseph from Barchester Healthcare’s Middletown Grange care home in Hailey, near Witney will be tackling the UK’s highest mountain to raise money for Barchester’s Charitable Foundation.
Reji Joseph normally works as the Home Administrator at Middletown Grange, but on August 3rd he will be donning his walking boots and using sheer grit and determination to climb to the top of the 4,400ft summit of the highest point in the British Isles, in order to raise funds for Barchester’s Charitable Foundation.
A passionate wildlife photographer with a lifelong love of walking, and no stranger to a charity challenge, Reji has been training hard but this is the first time he has climbed a mountain of this scale. If you would like to help him hit his fundraising target of £1500, please click here - all donations will be gratefully received.
Reji comments: “This is my first time taking on Ben Nevis and I’m really excited to tackle it but also very nervous, especially about what the weather might throw at me! I absolutely love taking on challenges like this, I’m hoping to raise lots of money for the Foundation which is a fantastic charity. I know all the staff, residents and relatives at Middletown Grange are behind me plus I have my two sons climbing with me and their support along with the money I’m raising will help me go the distance!”
General Manager at Middletown Grange, Mirela Ghiuvea adds: “We are all so proud of Reji, we know that he will conquer Ben Nevis, he has so much determination to succeed. It is a wonderful thing he is doing to raise funds to help vulnerable people combat loneliness and connect with their local communities, everyone at the home is fully behind him.”
