Funding was awarded to Eco Work- Shop CIC. ECO Work-Shop CIC is a not-for-profit, Community Interest Company (CIC) providing a Day Opportunity Service. Work-Shop offers purposeful, work-based activity sessions to adults with learning disabilities and autism who have high-level, lifelong, and often socially challenging disabilities. Our funding was used to deliver a variety of reward activities for adults with learning disabilities and autism, creating structured, supported opportunities where our participants can connect and enjoy experiences that others often take for granted. So far, they have hosted a fish and chip/karaoke night, as well as a bowling trip. The remainder of the funding will be used for further events planned for later in the year.

We recently awarded funding to Shirley Lions Club CIO to help fund their annual New Year party for the pensioners in Shirley.

Due to the snow, the numbers were slightly down on previous years, but around 100 elderly residents braved the weather to turn out. The party started at 1.00 pm with a fish and chips lunch followed by songs sung by a well-known local singer. They also organised a couple of games of bingo with prizes provided by the Lions.
