Mo gets out and about
We awarded funding to a young man with a diagnosis of Cerebral palsy. The money was spent on an electric scooter, which has enabled Mo to get out and about independently.
Artful connections
Back in November last year, we awarded funding to Arts to Heal. They are an art-based mental health Charity founded in 2016 located on the outskirts of Blackburn.
Colin Marsh takes on 100 mile cycling challenge
On Sunday 26th May, Colin Marsh, Head of Maintenance at Henford House care home in Wiltshire, will take part in the gruelling Ride 100 cycle race across London and Essex to raise money for Barchester’s Charitable Foundation.
Improved mobility for Douglas
Last September we awarded funding to Douglas. He has Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS) and had a stem cell transplant in 2019. He still suffers with the side effects of this and is having treatment to try and prevent any reoccurrence.

Tour de Barchester 2024
Now in its third year, the Tour de Barchester is back and taking place from 18th - 21st June. It is a challenging 4-day cycle ride covering 200 miles, starting in Johnstown, Carmarthen and finishing in Wallingford, Oxfordshire, visiting 14 Barchester care homes on the way.
Vital support in challenging times
Barchester’s Charitable Foundation had an exceptional year in 2023, achieving a donation milestone of £225,000 which enabled us to provide vital help to a staggering 160 small groups and charities, plus 87 individuals in one year alone.
